Laser Therapy
Therapeutic Lasers like ours are completely painless. Most patients feel at most a slight warmth throughout the treatment. Some patients feel relief immediately after just one session, but some injuries (especially chronic injuries) may take a few sessions for the results to compound and become apparent.
Most treatments take less than 15 minutes in total. With our dual delivery options, we can treat multiple areas/factors related to your injury simultaneously, giving you a comprehensive treatment in less time.
Most acute injuries require about 6-8 sessions, while the average chronic issue needs closer to 12-14 sessions. Contact us to find out more about class four laser therapy and see if it’s right for you.
Sports Rehab
For most of our athletes, nothing is more painful than being unable to play because of an injury.
We work with our athletes to choose a plan of action that meets their needs and goals and tolerance to treatment. Physical Therapy is a team sport, so we educate our athletes in all the available techniques and modalities to get them back as fast as possible. We help them make the right decisions for them and their unique situation related to return to play.
This answer is directly dependent on the injury and that injuries healing time to recover. However, we utilize techniques and modalities such as dry needling and Class 4 laser therapy to facilitate recovery and healing, so the short answer here is as fast as possible.
This is something we can answer after we have evaluated the unique athlete and their injury. We pride ourselves on maximum efficiency in utilizing your time, financial, and sweat investment in your recovery. Most injuries we can treat with a frequency of 1 visit per week. Still, depending on the situation’s urgency (in season vs out of season, etc), we may recommend more frequent sessions to return the athlete to sport sooner.
Our Bryn Mawr Sports Rehab Program is covered through your out of network coverage with your insurance. Our facility does not have an insurance or billing department that handles this coverage for you, but we will provide paperwork that allows you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement on your own. Many of our athletes choose to do this and it is not a complicated process.
